GEMCO’s “BIM” Building Information Modeling construction team is leading and managing BIM coordination and clash detection/resolution or simply participating in any predetermined level of coordination as driven by other construction team members. Due to our implementation of BIM, and through continued commitment, training, and execution, GEMCO is establishing ourselves as a leader in the Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing construction industry nationwide.
Using AutoCAD, Revit and Navisworks software our internal team of experts support the planning and implementation programs on efficiently installing our work and providing the facilities leader the information they desire. This expertise brings a more coordinated effort from the construction team and value to the owner.
GEMCO utilizes a state-of-the-art 3D laser scanner to capture a digital survey of any current or existing condition. We then produce the laser scan into a 3D point cloud. This allows us to meet any need our customers may have, like mapping out the piping, conduit, ducting, structural steel, vessels, and equipment in your existing building, creating As-Built Revit models for building renovations and additions, planning for industrial buildings or mechanical rooms floor plan layouts and utility connections, capturing existing bolt patterns for equipment upgrades/replacements/relocations, relocation of equipment from one geographical location to another even across the country.
In addition to capturing point clouds, our scanners utilize onboard HDR color cameras to capture 360-degree panoramic images. These can be viewed with free downloadable software.
